 उत्तर - स्वतंत्रता के समय भारत के समक्ष उपस्थित आर्थिक चुनौतियां निम्नलिखित थी :- 

1. खाद्यान्न की कमी :- सन 1937 में बर्मा भारत से अलग हुआ तो खाद्यान्न संकट उत्पन्न हुआ चावल बड़ी मात्रा में यहां से आता था।

2. देश विभाजन का दंश :- 1947 में पाकिस्तान के बन जाने से पंजाब और सिंध क्षेत्र निकल गए जिससे खाद्यान्न संकट उत्पन्न हुआ।

3. कच्चे माल का अभाव :- कपास का अधिकतम क्षेत्र पाकिस्तान में चला गया जिससे कच्चे माल का अभाव होने लगा ।

4. कुशल श्रमिकों का अभाव :- वस्त्र उद्योग , इंजीनियरिंग उद्योग आदि में कुशल श्रमिकों का अभाव था। 

5. पूंजी की कमी :- देश विभाजन से पूर्व पंजाब और सिंध में ज्यादातर जमीदार एवं पूंजीपति रहते थे । विभाजन से पूंजी की कमी उत्पन्न हुई। 

6. परिवहन की खराब स्थिति :- भारत में अंग्रेजों के जाने के बाद परिवहन व्यवस्था खराब थी।

2. Bites of country partition :- The formation of Pakistan in 1947 led to the Punjab and Sindh regions coming out, causing a food crisis.

 

3. Lack of raw materials: - The maximum area of ​​cotton moved to Pakistan, due to which there was a shortage of raw materials.

 

4. Lack of skilled workers: - There was lack of skilled workers in textile industry, engineering industry etc.

 5. Lack of capital: Before the partition of the country, most of the zamindars and capitalists used to live in Punjab and Sindh. The lack of capital resulted from the split.

 6. Poor transport conditions :-  Transport system in India was poor after the British left.
