उत्तर- व्यष्टि अर्थशास्त्र के महत्व को निम्न बिंदुओं के आधार पर समझा जा सकता है-
1.अर्थव्यवस्था को समझने में सहायक- व्यष्टि अर्थशास्त्र में व्यक्तिगत इकाइयों का अध्ययन किया जाता है ।संपूर्ण अर्थव्यवस्था को समझने के लिए आवश्यक है।
2. व्यक्तिगत निर्णय लेने में सहायक - व्यष्टि अर्थशास्त्र व्यक्तिगत उपभोक्ताओं तथा उत्पादकों को अपने-अपने क्षेत्र में निर्णय लेने में सहायक होता है।
3. कीमत सिद्धांत के विश्लेषण में सहायक - व्यष्टि विश्लेषण वस्तु विशेष की कीमत या साधन विशेष के पुरस्कार निर्धारण में सर्वाधिक सहायक होता है।
4. आर्थिक नियमों के निर्माण में सहायक - व्यष्टि अर्थशास्त्र की सहायता से उपभोक्ता ह्रास नियम , सम सीमांत उपयोगिता नियम तथा उपभोक्ता की बचत जैसे नियमों का निर्माण किया जा सकता है।

1. Helpful in understanding the economy- Individual units are studied in microeconomics. It is necessary to understand the whole economy.
2. Helpful in making personal decisions - Individual economics helps individual consumers and producers in making decisions in their respective fields.
3. Helpful in the analysis of price theory - Individual analysis is most helpful in determining the price of a particular item or prize of a particular instrument.
4. Helpful in formulation of economic rules - With the help of micro economics, rules like consumer depreciation rules, even marginal utility rules and consumer savings can be formulated.
