स्थिर विनिमय दर के दोष बताइए।
उत्तर :- स्थिर विनिमय दर के विपक्ष में निम्न तर्क दिए जा सकते हैं।
1. विनिमय दर को स्थिर बनाए रखना कठिन :- सरकार द्वारा विनिमय दर को स्थिर बनाए रखने पर कई व्यावहारिक कठिनाइयों का सामना करना पड़ता है।
वस्तुओं की कीमतों में उतार-चढ़ाव से विनिमय दर को ज्यादा समय तक स्थिर रख पाना संभव नहीं होता ।
2. भ्रष्टाचार को बढ़ावा :- स्थिर विनिमय की स्थिति में भ्रष्टाचार को बढ़ावा मिलता है एवं सरकारी अधिकारियों द्वारा विदेशी मुद्रा के क्रय विक्रय में प्रत्यक्ष अप्रत्यक्ष तरीकों से भ्रष्टाचार किया जाता है।
3. वास्तविक विनिमय दर का ज्ञान नहीं :- सरकार द्वारा विनिमय दर का निर्धारण होने से राष्ट्र की मुद्रा की वास्तविक विनिमय दर का पता नहीं चल पाता।
4. राष्ट्र हितों की अवहेलना :- विनिमय दर को स्थिर बनाए रखने से कई बार सरकार को अनचाहे निर्णय लेने पड़ते हैं, जिससे अर्थव्यवस्था के अन्य क्षेत्रों में भी बुरा प्रभाव पड़ता है।

1. Difficult to keep the exchange rate stable :- Many practical difficulties have to be faced when the government keeps the exchange rate stable.
It is not possible to keep the exchange rate stable for long due to fluctuations in the prices of commodities.
2. Promotion of corruption: - Corruption is encouraged in the situation of stable exchange and corruption is done in direct and indirect ways in the purchase and sale of foreign currency by government officials.
3. Not knowing the real exchange rate: - Due to the fixation of the exchange rate by the government, the real exchange rate of the nation's currency is not known.
4. Disregard for national interests:- Keeping the exchange rate stable, sometimes the government has to take unwarranted decisions, which have a bad effect on other sectors of the economy as well.
