प्राथमिक समंक 

1. प्राथमिक समंक अनुसंधानकर्ता द्वारा स्वयं संकलित किए जाते हैं 

2. प्राथमिक समंक मौलिक होते हैं।

3. प्राथमिक समंक संकलन में अनुसंधानकर्ता को समय धन एवं बुद्धि का प्रयोग करना पड़ता है।

4. प्राथमिक समंक सांख्यिकी इकाइयों से व्यक्तिगत संपर्क स्थापित करके एकत्रित किए जाते हैं।

5. प्राथमिक समंको को अनुसंधानकर्ता अपने उद्देश्य के अनुकूल संकलित करता है।

6. प्राथमिक समानता पर आधारित निष्कर्ष विश्वसनीय होते हैं।

द्वितीयक समंक

1. द्वितीयक समंक का अनुसंधान कर्ता द्वारा एकत्रित नहीं किए जाते बल्कि पहले से ही एकत्रित किए हुए रहते हैं।

2. द्वितीयक समंकों में मौलिकता का अभाव पाया जाता है।

3. क्योंकि यह पूर्व में संकलित रहते हैं अतः इसमें बुद्धि एवं धन लगाने की आवश्यकता नहीं होती।

4. द्वितीयक समंक अन्य व्यक्तियों या संस्थाओं द्वारा पूर्व में संकलित किए हुए रहते हैं।

5. द्वितीयक समंक अन्य उद्देश्य से संकलित किए जाते हैं लेकिन अनुसंधानकर्ता उन्हें अपने उपयोग में लाता है।

6. इसके आधार पर निकाले गए निष्कर्ष भ्रामात्मक भी हो सकते हैं।

Differentiate between primary and secondary data.

 5. The researcher compiles the primary data according to his purpose.

 1. Secondary data are not collected by the researcher but are already collected.

 2. Lack of originality is found in the secondary data.

 3. Because it is stored in the past, so there is no need to invest intelligence and money in it.

 4. Secondary data are collected by other persons or institutions in the past.

 5. Secondary data are collected for other purposes but the researcher makes use of them.

 6. The conclusions drawn on the basis of this can also be misleading.
