संगणना एवं निदर्शन प्रीति में निम्नलिखित अंतर है-

संगणना रीति

1. समग्र की समस्त इकाइयों के बारे में जानकारी प्राप्त की जाती है।

2. समय धन व परिश्रम अधिक लगता है।

3. विजातीय इकाइयों की दशा में उपर्युक्त होती है।

4. समग्र के नाशवान होने पर यह विधि अनुपयुक्त है।

5. समग्र अनंत या विस्तृत प्रकृति का होने पर यह रीति बेकार है।

6. विभ्रम को ज्ञात नहीं किया जा सकता ।

निदर्शन रीति

1. समग्र में से प्रतिनिधित्व करने वाली इकाइयों को चुनकर अध्ययन किया जाता है।

2. समय, धन व परिश्रम कम लगता है।

3. सजातीय इकाइयों की दशा में उपर्युक्त होती है।

4. समग्र के नाशवान होने पर यह विधि उपयुक्त है।

5. समग्र अनंत या विस्तृत प्रकृति का होने पर यह रीति उपयोगी है।

6. विभ्रम ज्ञात किया जा सकता है।

 3. The above happens in case of heterogeneous units.

 4. This method is inappropriate when the whole is perishable.

 3. The above holds in the case of homogeneous units.

 4. This method is suitable when the whole is perishable.
