प्रोफ़ेसर किंग्स ने के अनुसार ब्याज की दर तरलता पसंदगी भी पर निर्भर करती है। तरलता पसंदगी का आशय नकदी के रूप में साधनों के रखने से जिसके तीन उद्देश्य है -

1. आकस्मिक कार्य उद्देश्य 

2.दूरदर्शिता उद्देश्य 

3. सट्टा उद्देश्य

 According to Professor Kings, the rate of interest also depends on the liquidity preference. Liquidity preference refers to the holding of instruments in the form of cash, which has three objectives -

1. Contingency objective 

2.Foresight objective 

3. Speculative objective
