किंस रोजगार सिद्धांत के अनुसार पूंजीवाद अर्थव्यवस्था में अल्पकाल में कुल उत्पादन अथवा राष्ट्रीय आय रोजगार के स्तर पर निर्भर करता हैं क्योंकि अल्पकाल में उत्पादन के अन्य साधन जैसे - पूंजी , तकनीक आदि रहते हैं। रोजगार का स्तर प्रभाव पूर्ण मांग को निर्भर करता है । प्रभावपूर्ण मांग सामूहिक  मांग के उस स्तर को कहते हैं जिस पर सामूहिक पूर्ति के बराबर होती हैं।
