फर्म अथवा अर्थव्यवस्था द्वारा उत्पादकीय उपकरणों पर किया गया कुल व्यय सकल विनियोग को बताता है , यदि हम सकल विनियोग में से गिरावट अथवा मूल्य ह्रास घटा दे तो हमें शुद्ध विनियोग प्राप्त होता है। सकल विनियोग कभी भी ऋणात्मक नहीं होता।

सकल विनियोग = शुद्ध विनियोग + ह्रास

शुद्ध विनियोग = सकल विनियोग - ह्रास

Explain the difference between gross investment and net investment.

 Gross investment refers to the total expenditure incurred by the firm or the economy on productive equipment, if we deduct depreciation or depreciation from gross investment, we get net investment. Gross investment is never negative.

 gross investment = net investment + depreciation

 Net investment = Gross investment - Depreciation
