आर्थिक दोष
1. ऋणतंत्र को प्रोत्साहन - मुद्रा द्वारा उधार लेने की आदत को प्रोत्साहन मिलता है क्योंकि इसके माध्यम से उधार लेना वह देना आसान हो जाता है जिससे फिजूलखर्ची बढ़ती है।
2. अति पूंजीयन एवं अतिउत्पादन को प्रोत्साहन - उद्योगपति ऋण आसानी से लेकर अति पंजीयन और उत्पादन को बढ़ावा देते हैं।
3. मुद्रा के मूल्य में अस्थिरता - मुद्रा की विनिमय शक्ति में परिवर्तन होते रहते हैं और और इस परिवर्तन के विभिन्न वर्गों पर भिन्न प्रभाव पड़ते हैं परंतु कुल मिलाकर यह परिवर्तन समाज के आर्थिक जीवन में एक बड़ी अनिश्चितता पैदा कर देते हैं।
4. संपत्ति के वितरण में असमानता - मुद्रा के कारण पूंजीवाद को प्रोत्साहन मिलता है और संपत्ति के वितरण में असमानता आती है।
5. वर्ग संघर्ष का उदय - मुद्रा की शक्ति के बल पर सामान में कुछ व्यक्ति अधिक धनी होते चले जाते हैं जिससे वर्ग संघर्ष की स्थिति बनती है।
नैतिक दोष
नैतिक दृष्टिकोण से भी मुद्रा सभी दोषों की जड़ है इसने मनुष्य को लालची बना दिया है यही मनुष्य को धोखेबाजी, चोरी, डकैती हत्या, गबन, विश्वासघात ,घूसखोरी, बेमानी तथा पाप के मार्ग की ओर ले जाती है।
सामाजिक दोष
मुद्रा के कारण भौतिकवाद प्रलोभन शोषण की प्रवृत्ति जैसे सामाजिक दोषों में भी वृद्धि होती है।

1. Promotion of credit system - The habit of borrowing is encouraged by money because it becomes easy to give what is borrowed through it, which increases extravagance.
2. Encouragement to over-capitalization and over-production - Industrialists encourage over-registration and production by taking loans easily.
3. Volatility in the value of money - Changes keep on taking place in the exchange power of money and this change has different effects on different sections but overall these changes create a great uncertainty in the economic life of the society.
4. Inequality in the distribution of wealth - Capitalism is encouraged due to money and inequality in the distribution of wealth.
5. Rise of class struggle - Due to the power of money, some people become richer in goods, due to which a situation of class struggle is created.
moral turpitude
Even from the moral point of view, money is the root of all vices, it has made man greedy, it leads man to the path of fraud, theft, robbery, murder, embezzlement, betrayal, bribery, dishonesty and sin.
social evil
Due to money, there is also an increase in social defects like the tendency of materialism, temptation, exploitation.
