पूंजीगत प्राणियों अंतर्गत आय के उन समस्त स्त्रोतों को रखा जाता है जिसका हमें बदले में भुगतान करना अवश्य होता है , लेकिन महत्वपूर्ण यहां है कि भुगतान उसी वित्तीय वर्ष में ना होकर आगामी किसी वित्तीय वर्ष में किए जाते हैं। इसे पूंजी खाता नाम से जानते हैं, इस प्रकार राजस्व प्राप्तियों की प्रकति जहां अल्प कालीन किस्म की होती है वहीं पूंजीगत प्राप्तियों की प्रकति दिर्घकालीन होती हे।
