अवमूल्यन वह प्रक्रिया है जिसमें सरकार स्वयं जानबूझकर अपनी घरेलू मुद्रा का मूल्य विदेशी मुद्रा में घटा देती है अवमूल्यन कहलाता है । अवमल्यन का उद्देश्य प्रतिकूल भुगतान संतुलन की स्थिति में सुधार लाना है । अवमूल्यन देश के निर्यात को बढ़ाने में तथा आया तो को घटाने में सहायक होता है

What is depreciation?

 Devaluation is the process in which the government itself deliberately reduces the value of its domestic currency in foreign currency is called devaluation.  The purpose of devaluation is to improve the position of adverse balance of payments.  Devaluation helps in increasing the exports of the country and reducing the income.
