उत्तर-  अपवर्जी श्रेणी  वह रीती है जिसमें एक वर्गान्तर की ऊपरी सीमा अगले वर्ग की निचली सीमा के बराबर होती है।  इस रीती को अपवर्जी रीति इसलिए कहां जाता है कि यदि कोई पद किसी वर्गान्तर की ऊपरी सीमा के बराबर होता है तो उस पद को वर्ग में शामिल नहीं किया जाता वह पद अगले वर्ग में शामिल किया जाता है।
