ब्रिटेन वुड्स सम्मेलन के परिणाम के स्वरूप में अंतरराष्ट्रीय मौद्रिक प्रणाली में अनेक महत्वपूर्ण परिवर्तन हुए जिसके आधार पर अंतरराष्ट्रीय मुद्रा कोष (IMF) की स्थापना हुई।

 इस कोष के माध्यम से विभिन्न सदस्य देशों की मुद्राओं का समता मूल्य स्थापित कर के सदस्य देशों से यह अपेक्षा की गई कि स्वर्ण या डॉलर में अपनी मुद्रा का मूल्य बनाए रखें ।

ब्रिटेन वुड्स सुधारों के अंतर्गत स्वर्ण को रिजर्व का आधार माना गया , किंतु अमेरिकी डॉलर को मुख्य रिजर्व मुद्रा की भूमिका के लिए चुना गया।

 As a result of the Britain Woods conference, many important changes took place in the international monetary system, on the basis of which the International Monetary Fund (IMF) was established.

  Through this fund, by establishing the par value of the currencies of different member countries, the member countries were expected to maintain the value of their currency in gold or dollars.

 Under the Britain Woods reforms, gold was considered the basis of the reserve, but the US dollar was chosen to play the role of the main reserve currency.
