स्थानीय स्रोतों या संवाददाताओं द्वारा सूचना प्राप्ति विधि -
इस विधि के अंतर्गत अनुसंधानकर्ता द्वारा विभिन्न स्थानों व स्थानीय व्यक्ति या संवाददाता नियुक्त कर दिए जाते हैं जो अपने ढंग से सूचनाएं एकत्र करते हैं और बाद में अनुसंधानकर्ता के पास भेज देते हैं।
संवाददाताओं से सूचना प्राप्त विधि के गुण -
1. विस्तृत क्षेत्र - जहां अनुसंधान का क्षेत्र विस्तृत होता है तो इस विधि के द्वारा दूर-दूर के स्थानों से लगातार सूचना प्राप्त की जा सकती है।
2. मितव्यई तथा शुभम इस रीति में समय धन और परिश्रम की भी बचत होती है सूचना जल्दी से जल्दी और कम खर्च पर प्राप्त हो जाती है।
3. लोचदार - यह विधि लोचदार होती है इस विधि में आवश्यकता अनुसार परिवर्तन किया जा सकता है।
संवाददाताओं से सूचना प्राप्त विधि के दोष एवं कमियां-
1. मौलिकता का अभाव - इस विधि द्वारा संकलित संबंधों में मौलिकता का अभाव रहता है ।
2. पक्षपात - संवाददाताओं में यदि पक्षपात की भावना है तो निष्कर्ष प्रभावित हो सकते हैं ।
3. शुद्धता की कमी - उच्च स्तर की शुद्धता की आशा नहीं की जा सकती क्योंकि बहुत से सूचनाएं अनुमानित होती है ।
4. सूचना प्राप्ति में विलंब - सूचना के प्राप्त होने में काफी समय लगता है कभी-कभी वे अनुपयोगी हो जाती है।
